Meet Shannon Holloway
Shannon Holloway, MS, CHFP is the Founder and Principal of Holloway R&D, where she partners with leaders to translate technical brilliance into human value.
With a 20-year career spanning her family’s small business to the frontiers of human-machine teaming, Shannon specializes in transforming technical vision into market impact. Her cross-sector track record includes incubating early-stage ideas at Google that reached $1B+ valuations and billions of users, launching the venture arm of Steadfast Financial, and codifying broadband playbooks that established the nation’s first municipal design studio for the New York City Mayor’s Office. Bringing this expertise back home, she currently serves as a Technology and Innovation Commissioner for the City of Long Beach.
As a Board-Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP), Shannon brings engineering rigor to the human side of innovation. Her pioneering work has earned a Red Dot Design Award and has been published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, and the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA).
Shannon's unique lens is informed by a foundational background in multimedia storytelling - with work featured by the Discovery Channel and Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (LAMAG) - enabling her to distill complex technical narratives into compelling strategic positions. She holds an MS from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
